Global handwashing day...Clean hands save lives

Tomorrow is the 5th year for celebrating the Gobal handwashing day. Clean hands saves lives...

As a makeup artist and lash technician, it is important I wash my hands before I touch people's faces or eyes. After all, conjunctivitis is always spread because you couldn't keep  your hands off your eyes or face and also using contaminated items.

Over the years, I have learnt that I need to apply makeup and lashes with clean hands not only on clients but on myself as well. So as we celebrate Global hand washing day on the 15th of October remember washing your hands saves lives and faces.

Ways I keep my hands clean are by washing my hands through running water (I love the fact I have water in ny studio) and having hand sanitizers in my kit.

Product of the month: Ponds cold cream

Before getting my Ponds cold cream,  I had heard so much about it. This product removes makeup completely and also moisturises my skin.

It also removes mascara easily and does not sting my eyes.

How to apply: I massage a little cream all over my face, then I rinse with warm water and pat my face . I also sometimes wet a cotton pad and use it to wipe my face.

Benjabelle brush tree

I wash my personal makeuo brushes once a week and I wash my pro brushes once I use  it on a client.

Anytime I wash my brushes I always look for space to  line up my brushes...and I kept wondering why I could not get something that would make them stand straight.

You know if water gets to the  handle the glue will get loose and this will make the hairs fall off...blah blah.

Anyway through a group on facebook I found out about the Benjabelle brush tree and completely fell in love..

I finally ordered it and was able to test it. It doesn't take up space and you can always dismantle it and put away in a drawer or bag.
